Customer Privacy Policy (for paying customers)
JobStars USA LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to safeguarding all personally identifiable information of our paying customers.
The following Customer Privacy Policy discloses what information we collect, how it’s used, and how it’s stored in serving our valued customers.
Information Collection – Career Services
We are a career services practice that provides Resume Writing, Job Seeker Services, and Career Coaching for individuals across a broad spectrum of industries and occupations. In order to deliver these services effectively, we must collect sensitive personal information from customers.
By placing your order as a paying customer, you are agreeing to voluntarily provide personally identifiable and/or sensitive information during the intake process. This includes, but is not limited to: your name, email, phone number, home address, work history, career aspirations, and more.
EXTERNAL TECHNOLOGIES WE USE
Before, during, and after the delivery of services, we use several external technologies, services, and platforms. We use these services with the understanding and assumption that each are well-regarded organizations which prioritize the security and protection of customer information.
Here is a list of the external technologies we use:
- Clinked is a third-party provider of the technology behind the JobStars Customer Portal. We are a paying customer of their premium subscription service.
- Custom Databanks is a third-party provider of the technology behind our Resume Distribution service. We share your information with Custom Databanks to facilitate the sendoff of your Resume. We are a paying customer of their service.
- FreeConferenceCall is a third-party provider of the technology behind our telephone recording capabilities. We are a paying customer of their subscription service.
- Google Workspace is a third-party provider of the technology behind a whole host of applications. We use several tools including Drive, Sheets, Docs, and more. We are a paying customer of their premium subscription service.
- Gravity Forms is a third-party provider of the technology behind our intake forms (introductory questionnaire). When you submit information into the questionnaire, it is being collected and processed by Gravity Forms. We are a paying customer of their premium subscription service.
- Smallpdf is a software development company that provides a simple, secure, and reliable answer for saving documents as a PDF. We are a paying customer of their premium subscription service.
- WooCommerce is an open-source e-commerce payment processing platform. WooCommerce is the technologhy behind our payment gateway. When you place your order on the JobStars website, it is being processed by WooCommerce and PayPal / Braintree.
Telephone Recordings
We use telephone recording technology to capture information during the customer intake process. These recordings are useful for being able to listen back and capture information that you share during the intake call. If you do not wish to be recorded, that’s your prerogative, and you may opt out. Simply make your request prior to the intake call and we’ll turn off the recording functionality.
Information Sharing
We do not sell or share your information with any external parties for any reason. We never send or transmit your information outside of the platforms, systems, and technologies as set forth in this Customer Privacy Policy without your prior permission.
Information Storage
Information collected during the customer intake process is stored digitally within Clinked (client portal) as well as Google Drive (indefinitely). Commonly stored information includes the introductory questionnaire, MP3 telephone recordings, drafts, and related documentation.
As a convenience, after completion of your services, we store final copies of all your documents (Resumes, Cover Letters, etc). If you ever lose your final documents, we are happy to pull these from storage and provide them for you.
Erasing Personal Data
You may request the permanent erasure of personal data at anytime during or after the completion of services.
To do so, simply submit a contact us request expressing your desire to have all personal data deleted. We are happy to accommodate this request by deleting all folders, files, and logins associated with your account.
Information Collection – Payment Processing
We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. Please see the PayPal Privacy Policy for more details.
We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.
While you visit our site, we’ll track:
- Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
- Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Set up your account for our store
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Improve our store offerings
- Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them
If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
Ownership and our webmaster / technical team have access to the information you provide us. This includes:
- Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
- Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.
